Interests: Stargate, MacGyver, and Star Trek: TNG are my favorite t.v. shows. I enjoy the legend of zelda series as well as several mario and Donkey Kong games. I miss playing tuba in the pride, but hope to continue in the sooner showmen. I enjoy college football, esp. OU, Ohio State, and Michigan. There are some others, but those are my main three. I enjoy evening sailing. While I was in pride, I enjoyed seeing how many tuba mouthpieces I can get without people noticing. | Well It's been a while again. I would like to thank ihud for the ability to upload this song I edited for this update. They were the only site that I've been able to get it to work without having to go through a lot of crap. I edited 3 audio clips together with the third one being the theme song starting after Mudoc yells MacGyver. I know Dustin will enjoy the audio for this one. We've been joking about Macgyver recently. This is another show that I like with Richard Dean Anderson (RDA). It's one of my three favorite t.v. shows. The other ones being Star Trek: The Next Generation and Stargate SG-1. MacGyver was an awesome show, he could do things with basic stuff around him to defeat his opponents. I use to always think his not using guns was a weakness. Recently I saw an episode that I didn't remember before, one of his childhood friends was killed by a handgun. I missed some of it, but I think it was MacGyver who had it in his hand when it went off. That would mentally effect anyone to be repulsed by something. It always cracked me up when they thought Murdoc, who was an assassin, was dead, he would always comeback to get MacGyver. MacGyver made small landmine using pinecones, could diffuse bombs with simple things, made a welding using 2 quarters jumper cables and a battery.
This upcoming week will be difficult with two tests on Monday, but I'm looking forward to having a break. I'm subbing for Taylor for men's basketball band tomorrow. I'm looking forward to watching some of the football game tomorrow before the basketball game. I think we are going to win. I'm having a hard time finding info on the aircraft I picked out to do a study of it. I picked the B-52H and I've got to find a couple more ratios before I can finish my project for propulsion. My brother brought his bean bag chair here to Norman. It takes a lot of room, but I guess I'll manage. This coming week, before thanksgiving, Josh, one of my friends that graduated with me from H.S. will be staying in the extra room for the rest of the school year. If things work out, he may be here next year as well. I'm a little disappointed with jack going conditional this past week. It was a lame excuse, but if it keeps him from so called failing, then fine. But most likely he won't use the time and apply it to school. Well, I'm off to bed. I'll add more later.
| Yeah, it's been a while and since RDA told me to update, I did.
Well since last update, I'm now 22 yrs old. Not really any difference from last yr. I went to BisonWitches with Jack, Dustin, Dany, Chris, and Christine. It was fun. My computer's A/C adapter isn't working, so I'm having to use my brother's computer. Dustin, the audio this time is for you. Ha Ha Arnold. I'm have 3 projects going on that are kind of frustrating. With the robot for control systems, we're waiting on the electrical engrs. to finish the circuit so we can see if our engines and all work. I've had to hunt for a while to find info for an engine of an airplane for our final project for the propulsion course. And the ongoing design class' project doesn't have consistent objectives to achieve. Kpsi is going well, right before the last exec. meeting, I almost got stuck in catlett's elevator. Showmen is going ok. I'm very glad that we don't have long rehearsals in the evenings. The women's basketball team won 107 to 44. The Paris twins are great athletes. It will be a good season. This will probably be my 4th and last season with the basketball band. It has been fun. I hope this next week is less stressful, but should be fun anyway. With the engineering open house this comming friday, classes will be cancelled, which will be great. My family is talking about getting new cell phones, so my number will change sometime soon. We are going to switch from Tmobile to Cingular. I guess that is all right now.
| Well, it's been a while and I'm not going to fully update right now, but the new sound bit is from "Salute Your Shorts". I enjoyed that show when I was little; it was on Nickelodeon. So there's the opening song, so enjoy.
Right now, I'm learning patience and endurance. I'm already wanting this semester to be over with. I'm missing pride a lot right now and I'm planning on going to the game this Saturday. I'm ready for the new Legend of Zelda game to come out. It is going to be AWESOME!!!
| I'm going to switch audio about every two days for fun. I had an audio clip from Independence Day. I currently have an audio clip from Rush Limbaugh. I will usually post clips from him that are very good in sound reasoning or something that is showing absurdity by being absurd. Like this one, I just thought the sound he made, of the dolphin, was quite funny. I will probably have a fair amount of movie quotes. Most of them will be something the tubas and I have joked about at some point in time.
Um let's backtrack...
On Wednesday, I went to my usual classes. After that, I picked up a sousaphone from pride field. Seth is willing to let me use it. It is a bonus for him, because he doesn't have to put it up. I played in the volleyball pep-band. I was the only tuba player there. I unfortunately have forgotten some sections of certain pieces of music. Thus, it sounded bad on my part. I plan on looking over my old copies of music to refresh my mind before the next game. We unfortunately lost, but they were extremely close games. After that, I went back to the trailer to put up the horn. Then I went to change into more comfortable clothes, jeans and a t-shirt. Then I went back to catlett for the exec. counsel meeting. Some SAI/TBS girls showed up after their meeting and ghost stories were brought up. Most of the stories were about things on or near campus. That evening, I freaked myself out because I heard a thud coming from the other end of the house. The thoughts of the ghost stories poped in my head and that made it worse. I saw a weird reflection down the hallway that was at a unusual height that I couldn't think of anything that would cause it. I manuver around to turn as many lights on as possible before getting near the hallway where I saw it. As I turned the hallway light on, it turned out to be a light switch that the light must have reflected off of. After that I did some reading and then went to bed.
Thursday:
Slept until 10, dropped my brother off at class shortly after. I went to class. When I got back, Jack, Dustin, and I went to eat at long john silvers. When I got back from that, I got ready for Judiciary committee and chapter meetings. Since it was interview night, we were suppose to dress somewhat nice. I was told by JFo, that I was suppose to ask those who had jeans or tennis shoes on to leave; but he said I could overlook it this one time. I did that and made an announcement that I would enforce it during degrees. One thing I am still trying to find a good balance on is when and where to quiet the chapter down. Others and myself 'shush' people, but that ususally doesn't last too long. I like what David Harris suggested: to call people to 'order' when things get out of hand. I used bouga slightly when I did it the first time. I will probably use a combination of 'order' and banging bouga. Once I find a way that is more efficient, I can perfect it. I find also that standing by the door is good in some aspects, but it is more difficult, but not impossible, to control order when the majority of the chapter sits on the other side of the room. Well after the meeting, I went home and read a little bit. Then, what surprised me, was someone IMed me. I didn't have them on my 'buddy' list, so I was confused for a little while until I asked who it was. When I found out it was rachel, I remembered I posted a comment on her blog. We talked a little bit. I had to then run and pick up my brother at the dorms. When I got back, I talked to rachel online for the rest of that hour. It was good getting to chat with someone I hadn't really gotten to know before. Most of it was basic conversation stuff, but it was still cool.
Friday:
I got up for some unknown reason around 5:30am. I watched some t.v. for a while and then cooked some breakfast. I then took my brother to class at 8. I went to the union from there and worked on homework that was due at 9:30. I finished that and took a nap until class began. I went through both of those classes and then met dany at wendy's for lunch. We had another good round of talks. This semester we are able to meet for lunch for three times a week instead of one or two like last year. I've gotten to know more on how she thinks than about any other time that I've known her since 8th grade. I then came home and ate lunch. Mark then came over and we watched some episodes of smallville and new episodes of stargate. He wants to get me addicted to watching Alias as I've got him addicted to stargate. We ordered pizza from papa johns for dinner while we watched stargate. I'm now just finishing this post up.
Sat:
I plan on taking my truck in to get a minor recall done on it in the morning. Then I'm going to watch the football game, hopefully with james. GO SOONERS!!!!!! Go Football! Anyway, after the game, I'm going to meet up with dany, steph, and bonnie and we are going bowling. I am excited to get to hang out with steph and bonnie since I get to see them a couple times a year. That's the only thing I miss about high school is the close friends I use to have there. Then I'm going home to choctaw for church the next morning.
That was my last half of the week. I will probably cut most future posts short to more important things.
| Ok, I'm going to back up to Sunday first.
Well Jack calls me and wants to get something to eat when he gets out of church. After getting food, he wants me to fix his computer/printer because he can't get it to work since he moved back into the dorms. Well I drive down here, from Choctaw, to try and beat the next wave of storms coming through. Well when I get everything brought back in from my truck, jack called to go to eat. Well he picks me up and wants to go to McCalesters or whatever it is. I don't remember ever being there before, but jack claims I have with jordan and others. I suggested Jimmy Johns, but jack didn't want it. A little later, tells me that we are also going to pick up Dustin. Then went to Mcalesters and ate. My sandwich was ok, but there are other places that have better sandwiches. We finish and jack drops dustin off. Then I go help him with his printer. All he can tell me is that it wouldn't turn on. Well I start looking at it and notice that only the USB cable was attached. I saw a big square hole in the back where the power looked to go and asked jack where the power chord was. He had to go get his bag and dig around to find it. I fit perfectly and it turned on fine. I then tried to print and there were problems, but I went into the menu for the printers and selected another copy program of the same printer and it the worked fine. My reaction to it all was two sided; for the bad program of the printer, I've had problems with that before and is understandable. The first thing for having the power chord not plugged in is really unexcusable. Especially thinking that the USB chord supplied the power to the printer. I'm sorry jack, but maybe you do need to be sent back into past, maybe in the 1920-50's before the Civil Rights Movement (for those that know jack you would understand).
For the rest of that evening, I did some Solid Mechanics homework and studied for my propulsions test.
On Monday, I had to sit through another solid mechanics with stalford, aaaaarrrrgggg. If you've had him you'd understand. We had our daily quiz in there, I think I did well on it. Then in propulsions exam, I think I messed up a simple conversion the perfect gas law, for the second problem. The third, I ran out of time on, I needed an extra 10 mins to finish. I don't think anyone finished the exam. So as long as I'm equal or above the average, I'll be fine. At three, I began my 2 1/2 hr class, I enjoy the material, but the length is long enough that I have trouble focusing after an hour-hour and a half goes by. Good thing we get a little break during the class. I went home and watched some stargate reruns and ate leftover pizza. I then worked on some homework.
On Tuesday, I woke up at 8:30am watched a little Supreme Court nominations, then I worked on finishing my homework. I then took my brother up to campus at 1 and I went to the union to continue to work on homework until right before three. At three I went to my Control systems class and we were paired into teams from the EE class so we can build a robot car that can follow a line. After that was over, I went to my Space Sciences class. We had a decent lecture on galaxies and nebulae clouds. It was somewhat boring, but was interesting. The class seemed totally uninterested in the material, while the professor was soooo into it. Dr. Miller is the one who teaches the class if you know him. Dr. Miller made a joke that we must not have a soul since as a whole we were not interested. This made Powers laugh out loud. I'm now going to cook speggetti. Later
